LG is a leader in renewable solar energy with high efficient solar panels. The fourth generation solar panels benefit from years of LG research. Our solar panels have seen many improvements that really matter, from longer warranties and higher efficiency to stronger framing and increased wind loading. The high quality is the result of our strong commitment to developing a module that delivers reliable, high output for decades for a peace of mind solar solution. Our popular Mono-X & NeON panels are now used on over 15,000 Australian solar systems and on over 400,000 systems worldwide.
Why choose LG
Designed For Durability
Our solar modules are made with slim and durable glass to be lightweight while also being able to withstand heavy loading up to 5400 Pa, which represents premium quality. The module frame colour is an attractive black finish and is anodised to increase durability and minimise damage from rain and salty sea wind over time.
High Testing Standards
The LG solar manufacturing plant contains state-of-the art testing laboratories. These facilities test daily for product quality and performance. Our labs have been certified as high quality photovoltaic testing facilities by two world leading certifying authorities, TÜV Rheinland (Germany) and Underwriters Laboratories (USA). This dual certification is a first for the solar industry.
LG Sign-Off On Every Cell
We sign off on every single manufactured solar cell with our LG logo. The LG logo is a symbol for cutting edge technology and durability standards which have guided LG for over 50 years.
When you are buying a solar module from LG you are dealing with an international company that has the capacity and longevity to provide a reliable backup and makes their warranties count.
Positive Power Tolerance
LG is quality focused solar panel manufacturer using a positive tolerance only grading system for their solar panels. Many solar panel manufacturers use a plus/minus tolerance – normally shown in the panel specifications. For example, a 255 watt panel may be tested as low as 250 watts, but still sold as a 255 watt panel. Does that sound unfair? We think so… but it is “acceptable” if the manufacturer for example states a 0 / (-3%) tolerance on their specification sheet.
Research & Development Patents
Since 2009 LG has been granted a total of 202* patent rights in solar-related areas alone (Cell, Modules, Applications etc.) in the US and Europe. This is more than any other solar panel manufacturer. Utilising LG Solar excellent technology, LG has successfully reached a mass production stage for modules with 22% of cell efficiency for the NeON module.
Reliable For The Future
LG’s focus on quality control sits at the heart of our manufacturing philosophy. This quality-first philosophy has been developed through decades of creating top class electronic equipment.
